How much does shipping cost?
We’re now using a manufacturer for some items we simply can’t keep up with by hand. Because of that, some orders may ship from two different places, which can affect your shipping cost. We’re hoping this setup is temporary, but for now it helps us keep our mission alive while still being present with our kids — our most important job.
Handmade items like puff print, stickers, and magnets are made by us in our office and ship at a flat rate of about $7. Items made by our manufacturer have shipping rates based on your address.
So if your order includes something made by us and something made by our manufacturer, you may see an increase in shipping since they’re coming from two different locations.
What is the return and exchange policy?
All orders are currently final sale. We aren’t able to accept returns or exchanges at this time. Please make sure to check the size chart before ordering, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We’re always happy to help!
What is your cancellation policy?
Orders can only be canceled within 24 hours of being placed. If you accidentally ordered the wrong size or need to update something, reach out to us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help you get it resolved!
When will I get my order?
We work as quickly as we can to get your order out the door. Once it ships, you’ll get an email with all the tracking details.
Delivery times vary depending on whether your item is handmade or part of our in-stock inventory. Most of our items are made to order, so they can take up to 3 weeks to arrive at your doorstep.
And just a heads-up — this timeline doesn’t apply to preorder items, which may take a bit longer.
OOPS! I got the wrong order
We’ve started using print-on-demand for some of our items so we can keep creating and still be present for our kids. Because of that, mistakes can happen from time to time — like a print being off or the wrong item being sent.
If that happens, don’t stress! Just send us an email at help@autismbydesign.com, and we’ll make it right and get your correct item out to you.
My item is damaged
Our goal is for every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchase. Sometimes mistakes happen — if you received a damaged item, please reach out to us within 72 hours. We’ll always do our best to make it right and get a replacement sent your way.
What are the care instructions?
Cotton Collective Apparel (tag says Cotton Collective)
- Hand wash & hang dry
- Avoid bleach or harsh detergents
- Do not iron or dry clean
Puff Print Apparel (handmade by us — tag does NOT say Cotton Collective)
- Turn inside out
- Machine wash warm, mild detergent
- Hang dry
- Do not iron, bleach, or use fabric softener
Regular Print Apparel (manufacturer-made or handmade by us, not puff print)
- Turn inside out
- Gentle machine wash warm or cold, mild detergent
- Tumble dry low
- Iron from back side
Stickers (listed on our site for sale)
- Handmade & water-resistant (not waterproof)
- Can get wet, but not soaked
Important:
- Puff print is very sensitive to heat
- Dryers may shrink items
- We cannot replace items damaged by improper care
- Every item comes with a tag or sticker with care details
